In the Budget the government announced an a 20% tax (VAT) on static caravan sales. This will drastically hit new caravan sales putting the UK`s caravan holiday parks under enormous financial pressure. Jobs will be lost in caravan manufacture and the price of a caravan holiday will increase as owners have to recoup even more money just to break even. This is hitting working families who can just about afford a cheap break for the family. Please sign the petition and say NO.

Tax rises from April 1^st will heavily affect families wishing to fly abroad, making the value of a stay at home in the UK break even better value for money.

UK holiday parks need to react now to take advantage of this ill thought out tax increase as more and more families will find themselves looking closer to home for both long and short term breaks over the coming years.

The Government has been urged to scrap its planned rise in Air Passenger Duty from April 1^st , with a report warning that it will hit families and the economy hard.
